Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry is an adventure video game developed by the German studio CrazyBunch and published by Assemble Entertainment. It's available on multiple platforms, including Microsoft Windows, macOS, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. The game is set in the 21st century and follows Larry as he ventures into the world of online dating to meet his dream girl. An Xbox One version was released on September 15, 2020.

A sequel, Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice, was launched on October 23, 2020, for Microsoft Windows and macOS, with plans to release it on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2021.

Gameplay:

The game starts with Larry waking up in a mysterious room, disoriented about his surroundings. He exits the room through an elevator, finding himself in front of Lefty's bar, only to realize that the world has drastically changed during his absence of about thirty years. Inside the bar, Lefty informs Larry of the changes and Larry's own apparent lack of transformation, except for his weight loss. Despite the shock, Larry resolves to pursue romantic encounters with women.

Shortly after, Larry stumbles upon a Pi phone in Lefty's restroom, which is an experimental prototype requiring return to Bill "BJ" Jobs at Prune headquarters. Larry encounters and attempts to woo Faith, BJ's attractive assistant, who insists on dating only those with a perfect score on the dating app Timber. As a reward for returning the prototype, Larry obtains a new Pi phone and embarks on meeting various people through the Timber app in his quest for a perfect score. This journey leads him to individuals like a lawyer seeking access to Prune's files and eventually results in Larry following Faith and BJ to Cancúm. There, he breaks into BJ's mansion and discovers that Faith is the true genius behind Prune, hiring BJ as a frontman because the business wouldn't have thrived if it was known a woman was the mastermind. The game concludes with Larry escaping capture and accidentally causing an explosion at the mansion, sending Faith adrift at sea. Before the game's conclusion, Larry receives more matches on Timber.

Final Words:

It's worth noting that the game isn't a direct parody of any known title, although some have speculated that its name might be a nod to the 2014 adventure game D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die. However, the developers never confirmed this. The original creator of Leisure Suit Larry, Al Lowe, was not involved in the game and expressed his lack of enthusiasm for its title before its release.
